ANNOUNCEMENT BY TILLEYS VINTAGE MAGAZINES REGARDING AUCTION LISTINGS REMOVED BY EBAY on 17th and 18th September 2008

Over the past few days Ebay have been removing some of our listings.We state that (although we accept INSTANT payment by Paypal), we will not accept Paypal eCheque because "eCheque takes upto ten days to reach our account" - Ebay say:-
"Sellers must always accept payment from buyers through the payment methods they have selected in their Payment Details section of their listing, including PayPal. They must not act in any way to discourage buyers from paying by one of the methods that they offer".
For those of you that use (the Ebay company), Paypal for making payments please be aware that anyone with a Bank Debit Card or Credit Card can make an INSTANT payment.An INSTANT payment means that the payment is made into our account IMMEDIATELY and we can process your order at once.An eCheque payment will see your money removed from your bank account within 3 days but will take upto 11 days to reach our account!Paypal hold the money for the rest of the time.Customers report that Paypal have been actively encouraging people to use the eCheque payment method, which for them means huge earnings of interest from holding onto your payment. We are unable to process orders until we have payment.The customer will not receive their order for at least 11 days.
Ebay is becoming increasingly hostile to sellers who resist their multitudinous regulations.Sweeping changes made by management over the past nine months has had serious consequences for many small-time Ebay sellers.
